You set your own rules when you enter into a lift-share agreement, but just to help you out, here are some things that you should consider:

• Will you allow smoking, eating and drinking in the car.
• Music policy?
• Pick-up points, times
• How many times/ week, i.e., would you prefer to be more flexible on a Friday?
• Notification period if agreed lift-share cannot go ahead as planned.
• A method of reimbursing costs:
  • Will you divide the petrol costs, or also divide parking costs?
  • Will the drivers simply take it in turns to drive their vehicles?
